    The Compass is a lively Bar and Restaurant situated below The Wayfarer and provides the breakfast area for our guest, whether that is a light continental or a full English. The Bar itself offers lunch, afternoon snacks and evening meals. The chef uses many local suppliers to keep the food fresh and tasty, with a concise every day menu with a supporting cast of specials. Local breweries and vineyards feature on the drinks menu and local bands often play at the weekend.  See the website to check out the music calendar.

    By Road Bexhill Train Station (0.4 miles)

    Leave the station main entrance/exit, turn right (South) onto B2182 Sea Road, continue until you reach the seafront, turn right (West) onto B2182 Marina, continue for 150 metres until you reach Albert Road (on the right). Seaspray Rooms is on the corner of Marina and Albert Road

    Check in is between 3pm and 9pm

    Check out before 11am

  • Out of Hours Check-in?

    We can accommodate out of hours arrivals, please notify our team who will make the arrangements and issue you with a code to access the building and your room key

  • Accessibility

    The Wayfarer Rooms is a characterful Victorian/Edwardian renovated building with a structure that does not provide for disabled access, as all areas and bedrooms are accessed via stairs

  • Breakfast?

    Breakfast is served in our restaurant The Compass downstairs and is served from 8am, please leave your pre-order form outside your door or email our team.

  • Smoking?

    Smoking and e-vaping is not allowed anywhere at the Wayfarer. Guests failing to adhere to this policy will incur a £175 cleaning fee that will be charged to the card used to reserve the booking.

  • Exclusive Use?

    Please contact us to discuss specific terms and conditions for exclusive use of The Wayfarer Rooms.

  • Damages?

    We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees whilst acting in the course of their employment.

    Please take care when staying in our property, you are responsible and liable for any damages which are caused to the accommodation or its contents. If there is any damage or loss to your room, including any stains to any of the soft furnishings, we will charge the card used to reserve your booking either the full cost of repair/cleaning or replacement.

  • Room Service

    We do not offer room service however guests are welcome to order food or drink from the restaurant to be taken in their room. This is not a 24 hour service and only available during  kitchen service hours. Please enquire and order in the restaurant below.

    If you would like to have an evening meal in the restaurant we would encourage you to make a reservation when booking your room. The restaurant is very popular and we will always do our best to seat you however unfortunately we cannot guarantee a table without prior reservation

  • cancellations

    The Wayfarer is an independent family business so cancellations can have a big impact on us, we do though appreciate that unforeseen circumstances can intervene and we try to be as understanding and helpful in such cases.

    In the event of a cancellation up to 48 hrs prior to the scheduled arrival date no charge will be made.

    If you cancel your booking within 48 hrs of the scheduled date of arrival a cancellation charge will apply of a single night rate.

    Guests failing to arrive without notification of your cancellation will be charged for the total reservation price.
